Garden tour for connoisseurs

The Oklahoma Horticultural Society (OHS) presents the 2016 “Garden Tour for Connoisseurs” on Saturday, October 1, at 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. in Edmond, Oklahoma.

“We are very excited about the homes this year. It should be lots of fun and very educational,” say organizers.

This year, six remarkable home landscapes will be on the tour, representing Oklahoma’s growing passion for landscape beautification and outdoor living. Descriptions of the gardens along with the address and directions will be made available to ticket purchasers.

Tickets will be available beginning September 3 at Oklahoma City area garden centers and plant shops or at any of the host homes on the day of the tour. For a list of places to purchase a ticket, visit www.ok-hort.org.

Ticket prices are: $10.00 Pre-Tour OHS Members or $12.00 Pre-Tour Non-OHS Members; $15.00 the day of the tour, available at any of the properties on the tour or participating retailers; $5.00 for any one individual garden visit and children 12 and under are free.

The Oklahoma Horticultural Society was formed in 1970 to further the appreciation of gardening and horticulture throughout Oklahoma. This nonprofit organization recognizes and promotes excellence in gardening and horticulture across Oklahoma and the United States.
