Gayly staff report

The Kansas Equality Coalition (KEC) “Equality Day” at the Kansas State Capitol will be held Tuesday, March 19, 9am to 3:30pm. It is the 8th annual event of its kind.

“Equality Day is a great opportunity to meet your senator and state representative, and to see the Kansas state legislature in action,” said Tom Witt, KEC Executive Director. “At noon, we’ll have a rally in the Capitol rotunda, which will feature speakers from Kansas LGBT and civil rights organizations.

“As in past years, we will have packets with talking points and other information for you to drop off at the offices of legislators. If you would like to meet with your senator or state representative, we can help you set up an appointment.”

KEC members are invited to drop by the Dillon House, just west of the Capitol any time during the day for a light snack, and to pick up packets for their legislative visit. For information, visit www.kansasequalitycoalition.org.
