Sanders wins Oklahoma, Cruz wins Oklahoma and Texas; latest round-up

At 8 p.m. the latest results for Super Tuesday show Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump with big wins.

According to the Associated Press and the New York Times, Hillary Clinton has won the primaries in Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia, Tennessee, Texas and Virginia.

Bernie Sanders won the primary in Vermont, and was just declared the winner in Oklahoma, where Sanders leads Clinton 52 to 41 percent, with just over half of the votes counted. Clinton narrowly leads Sanders in Massachusetts, 51-48.

For the night so far, Clinton has gained 238 delegates to Sander’s 93.

On the GOP side, Donald Trump has won Alabama, Georgia, Massachusetts, Tennessee, and Virginia. He is leading in Vermont, 35 percent to Ohio Gov. John Kasich’s second at 30 percent, with about one-third of the vote counted. He has gained 100 delegates so far for the night.

Sen. Ted Cruz won the primaries in Texas and Oklahoma. In Texas, he gained 39 percent of the vote, to Trump’s 28 percent, and Marco Rubio’s 20. In Oklahoma, Cruz gained 34 percent of the vote, to Trumps 30, and Rubio’s 24.

Delegates gained so far in the Super Tuesday contests for the other GOP contenders are Rubio, 12; Cruz, 5; Kasich, 0; and Carson, 0.
