Intrigue is surrounding Amazon’s new series “Danger and Eggs.” It’s a fast-paced original animated comedy depicting two friends conquering the world’s weirdest abandoned water slide.

The queer undertones in the show are advancing what a popular children’s cartoon can discuss.

“Danger & Eggs includes trans youth, gay dads—even a lesbian folk duo. The episode “Chosen Family” is set in Chickenpaw Park’s Pride Day celebration,” said Trish Bendix with Logo.

Danger & Eggs was created by trans writer-producer Shadi Petosky.

Bendix added, “The show was created with the intention of representing a world full of LGBT people from the start. Some of that was by design, Petosky reveals, ‘Other bits were what writers, actors, and LGBTQ people on the storyboard team brought to the show. There were queer people in every aspect of production.’”

One Amazon reviewer said, “… it's funny and doesn't punch down at all, in fact it punches up like all the time. The episode about voting and the pride festival are good examples. Like it just really doesn't underestimate how kids can understand complex concepts and social concepts, hint, they totally can and people trying to "protect" them are usually just bigots, i.e. the H.A.R.M. squad. Also I love all the character designs and expressions, especially all the faces Phillip makes…”

So, there’s really no danger unless you’re just afraid of the queer community.

“Danger and Eggs” is available to watch exclusively on Amazon Prime.
