Urban Pride is making a difference in our community. Their presence and work creating unifying events are further advancing LGBTQ+ unity and inclusion.

Once again, this year, the entire community is invited to share a unique opportunity to connect with others at the many different events held this year in and around OKC Pride events.

“This event reaches different key audiences, through genres of music,” said Brandi Davis, Urban Pride Events founder. “Feel good about supporting your local LGBT+ community, outreach, and cultural organizations as you enjoy an unforgettable night.”

“We are creating a memorable, cause worthy experience here through Silent Unite,” exclaimed Davis.

Silent Unite was formed when its founder experienced a “Silent Disco” as one of the late-night activities on a cruise. It was silly, it was weird, but he had so much fun that he wanted to do it again with his friends back home.

Upon arriving back to New York, he realized that no one was throwing these types of parties, so he launched Quiet Events, Inc.

In 2012 with 350 brand new, 3-channel LED style headphones; the 1st “Quiet Clubbing” party drew out almost 200 people. It, however, took almost an hour before anyone danced on the dance floor.

Urban Pride Events is proud to announce the lineup of fun-filled, educational and in Unity for 2019. With collaboration from Treehouse Dispensary as well as support from Oklahoma City Pride, Davis said this year is going to be one you don’t want to miss.

On Friday, June 21, from 8 p.m. till 1 a.m., at Angles Nightclub and parking lot, sign up for the free event by visiting Eventbrite and searching “Silent Unite for Pride” (you can purchase headphones at the gate for a small fee). This event is sponsored by Freedom Oklahoma.

Davis said “Silent Unite” is an all ages headphone party, with three of the hottest DJ’s spinning House/Edm, Top 40, Hip-Hop/Trap!

On Saturday, June 22, Urban Pride Events will be out in full effect, so listen for our float as we rock the parade and dance our way to our booth! Come take your shot at prizes and giveaways with our “Basketball Shootout” we will be hosting in Diversity Center parking lot following the parade.
